The lifespan of extensions depends on the type you choose and how well they’re maintained:
Sew-in hair extensions – 6-8 weeks before a move-up, with hair lasting 9-12 months or longer.
K-tips (part of the hybrid method) – Hybrid extensions require maintenance depending on the method used—sew-in wefts need move-ups, while K-tips need to be replaced every 3-5 months with no move-ups required.
Temporary wefts– Can last 1+ years with proper care since they are not worn daily.

I do not recommend sleeping with them as this may resolve in damage to your scalp and the hair. However, if you want a long-term option without the hassle of daily removal and installing, sew-in extensions might be a better fit.

Store them properly when not in use.
Brush gently with a detangling brush.
